Midnight Sun

I was just re-reading Stephenie Meyer's post on her website last night, and i noticed that she said that she won't be publishing the rest of Midnight Sun!I feel AWFUL!! But I guess this puts the fandom on rampage, unless you support her decision. I respect Stephenie Meyer as an author, i do not think this is the best choice for her to make, because [[i hate to mention Harry Potter]] But when whole copies of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince were published on the internet, J.K. Rowling didn't throw a fit and never write Harry Potter again, they encouraged people not to read it and then published the book anyway, it just disappoints me that she chose not to finish it. But i have chosen to support her, and show her that the fandom truly does love her! hopefully, eventually she may change her mind!

Good News! They have decided to go back and reshoot some scenes from the Twilight Movie! Entertainment Weekly reports it here!

Twilight Coven Philippines is reporting that they will also get the Twilight movie on November 20th. Which we think (international fans correct us if we are wrong) would put the release roughly equal with the USA/Canada release once you take the international dateline into account.

2) I’m really, really sorry for any inconvenience the new schedule is causing people. I feel your pain. Let’s just say that my Thanksgiving plans are going through a major overhaul, too.

3) Looking on the bright side, this new release date means that Twilight will get to be on more screens–a lot more. That might mean a shorter drive for some people.

Twilight Chapters

As many of you may have noticed, i haven't been posting about each Twilight Chapter Lately. It's a lot of work to put one out, and all of us have read the books, including me. So it's not like i was reading them for the first time. The music on the page will stay, but i have decided to compile Playlists for each book. I think that because Breaking Dawn was in three parts, then there will be three playlists, but that will be the only book with more than one.

EVEN HUMANS CAN SPARKLE

I'm marking this as anonymous because this story makes me blush more than Bella, and I'd be mortified if any of my friends found out.

My girlfriend is a BIG fan of these Twilight books. And one day we were on a date, and we were walking through the park after dinner. She and I were talking, and the subject of Twilight came up some how. She was telling me how Edward was the perfect guy. I asked what made him so perfect, and she replied with a long list of things, including

"He loves Bella so much he'd die for her, he's a vampire, he's SUPER strong, and he SPARKLES!"

Well, I was interested in becoming the perfect guy, and I'm not exactly super-strong, nor in a situation to die for my girlfriend. So I came up with another way to make her realize that I could be close to perfect, too.

I went home that night, raided my little sister's craft box, and found some glitter. I sprinkled the bottle all over myself; my arms and legs, my feet, even my hair! Then I walked over to my girlfriend's house (she happens to be my neighbor) climbed up to her window (using a ladder that I brought from my house) and knocked on her window. She looked a little surprised to see me at her window in the dark, but she let me in anyway.

When I stepped through her window and she turned on the lights and saw the sparkles, she was thrilled. She proudly proclaimed me to be as perfect as Edward; vampire or not.."

My Experience

I know that no will really wants to read this, but I feel that now Breaking Dawn is out, at least some people should know my story. I first read Twilight in November 2007. I read the whole book in a day, which was difficult because it was a school day. I immediately asked my friend's if i could borrow the rest. I finished the rest of the series within 3 school days and then started rereading them. Then i guess i kind of forgot about Twilight and i went about 4 months without thinking about it. I went and bought the series and started re-reading them obsessively. Then June 15 i started my blog. I had been a part of the Harry Potter fandom and then it's still strong. But it was too late to start anything that would gain speed. I took the opportunity and started my blog. I knew that nobody would read it. And if i remember correctly, i put in my first post "I will be happy if even only TEN people read this"

A lot has changed since then. I'm still loyally devoted to Twilight, but my site has gained speed! I'm almost at half a thousand views! Thanks to everyone who has made this possible, don't worry, i will stick around for a lot longer! And now we embark on a new era of Twilight: Breaking Dawn.

Site Schedule

I have decided that i will not be posting anything to the site until August 5. That gives everyone 3 days to read Breaking Dawn. Also for a few weeks, i will be putting spoiler warnings for those who haven't read Breaking Dawn yet. I'm just doing it to eliminate spoilers for those who haven't read the book yet. I know what it's like to have a book spoiled, and it's an awful thing, so just posting this as a heads up!

Thoughts..

I was just thinking about today's qotd. "Carlisle: "I've seen vampire venom work miracles, but there are conditions that even venom cannot overcome." and at this point i'm just plain worried. I think that maybe, just maybe. Someone like Bella or someone she cares about, gets hurt and she wants them to become a vampire. It sounds weird. But it could be anyone. Charlie, Renee, or even Bella! If it is Bella, then she probably will just want to be bitten then and there. But it makes me worry about Bella. What if she gets seriously hurt?

Jacob or Edward?

Some people consider themselves "Switzerland" on this subject, i definitely don't. I firmly believe that Edward is the only way that Bella can be happy. I'm 100% Team Edward because i think that he cares. He knows how to take care of her and he truly only has eyes for her. He knows he will never be able to leave her again and she knows that he will never leave her. Jacob on the other hand, he's a werewolf. Werewolves imprint. Some people say to me "But they don't always imprint!", But if you remember in Eclipse, Jacob even said that imprinting could be more common than the stories say. Bella knows who she can't live without, but if she did choose Jacob in the end, then what if he imprinted on somebody else? Like Sam and Emily? Sam and Leah were perfect for each other, he couldn't control the fact that imprinted on Emily. He didn't have a say in it. Though he truly loved Leah, he couldn't stop himself for imprinting on Emily. What if this happens to Bella? She's already had to deal with enough already. I just don't think that even Team Jacob fans could deal with having to read about Bella's pain if she chose Jacob and he left her, it just wouldn't be a very happy book, it would remind me of [SPOILER ALERT! IF YOU HAVE NOT READ A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS OR LETTERS TO BEATRICE BY LEMONY SNICKET STOP HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!] Letters To Beatrice, a companion book to A Series of Unfortunate Events, where at the end of the last book in the series, the kids get on a boat called the Beatrice, and that's the end of the book. Then in letters to Beatrice, there's a code, wanna know what it says? Beatrice Sank. Isn't that just a great happy joyous read? If you can't notice the acid of sarcasm dripping from the last 4 words i typed, then here it is for you. I was joking. I thought that the title "Unfortunate Events" was a bit of a joke. But apparently Lemony wasn't joking. :[

Breaking Dawn Cover

I know that this is kind of last minute. But I just realized something. I have a theory about the colors and symbols used for the book covers in the series. I believe that starting in New Moon, Stephenie Meyer started using the colors red and white to represent Jacob and Edward. Red for Jacob because of the warmth his body gives off and white for Edward because his body is cold and hard like stone. I believe that the colors combined in the flower on the cover of New Moon symbolize that Bella has choices now. I also think that the red ribbon breaking in Eclipse represents Jacob's breaking point. Bella made her choice and Jacob isn't going to be a part of it. Also the newest addition to the book covers is that of Breaking Dawn. At first sight i thought that the white chess piece in the front was a king, so it represented that Bella really did make her choice to be with Edward. But the i looked closer and realized that it was a queen. The white represents Edward whose body is hard and cold because he's a vampire. The pawn piece in the back is red. Red commonly represents warmth. So I think it means Bella chose to be a vampire, because the piece is a queen not a king. The pawn represents that Bella chose to leave her warmth and mortality behind.

Generation Kill

I received word today that Kellan Lutz, who will be playing Emmett Cullen in the upcoming Twilight Movie, is in the second episode of Generation Kill also. His character is named Jason Lilley, Although Kellan's Imdb page says that he is only in the first episode of the show, he apparently also appears in the second! Just posting to let you know that you can go support our Emmett Cullen by watching Generation Kill on HBO every Sunday at 9 EST.

Twilight Chapter 4: Invitations

Summary: During chapter four, Bella comes to the conclusion that Edward wishes he didn't save her. The spring dance is coming up and Bella fabricates the excuse that she is going to Seattle that day, so she can't go to the dance. Suddenly, towards the end of the chapter, Edward starts talking to her and assures her he doesn't wish he he didn't save her, then unexpectedly, he asks her if he can go to Seattle with her, naturally she accepts the offer.

Chapter four was interesting, mainly because you'd think that after he saved her, that would be his breaking point. He would admit he had feelings for her and that he would like to see her more often. Towards the end he did but he didn't express feelings as strong as i would've liked to see. But in the beginning, she describes her dream with him in it. She says that he kept running away from her. The symbolism is huge in this action! He eventually decides to speak to her, but it still represents how he feels in the beginning of the chapter. Also the beginning reminded me of William Shakespeare's "A midsummer night's dream" act 2 scene 1, the dialog between Demetrius and Helena. Even though Bella doesn't express her feelings to be with him so clearly, he still pushes away while she follows.

Twilight Chapter 3:Phenomenon

Summary: During Chapter 3 , The sun is gone and Edward is back in school. He still is avoiding her and he is keeping his distance. Then before school he saves her from being ran over by Tyler Crowley's van. Then at the hospital she meets CARLISLE!!!! As she is leaving, she decides to talk to Edward to figure out what is going on. He doesn't tell her a lot but is very vague about everything. He tells her frequently that he isn't good for her [as if she cares]. She feels frustrated and it's the first night she dreams about him[AAAWWWW HOW CUTE!!]

Chapter 3 frustrated me. I kept remembering the back of the book and i thought that it would be something like "he saw her and the world stopped." I thought it would be love at very first. sight. When it wasn't i t was confused but i kept it in the back of my mind that the book wasn't over yet. I think that because it wasn't love at first sight, it strengthened their bond. The decision wasn't spontaneous or wasn't thought about. They both took the time to think it through. Also in the chapter, we meet CARLISLE!! I think that Carlisle is one of the few good father figures in the book. Charlie seems to enjoy lying to himself that everything is fine, and Carlisle seems to understand what has to be done.

Twilight Greenhouse Scene

Sorry I didn't post about this earlier, but there is a new scene they added to the Twilight Movie, It wasn't in the book but i think that it's replacing when they're in the hospital and when Bella was questioning Edward. The video is below.

Borders Midnight Release and Generation Kill

Just a reminder that Kellan Lutz, who will be playing Emmett in the upcoming Twilight movie, is in the new HBO miniseries called "Generation Kill". It will be premiering Sunday, July 13 at 9' o clock p.m. EST on HBO

Twilight Chapter 2: Open Book

Chapter 2, Open Book:

During chapter 2, Bella starts to get used to Forks High School. She notices that Edward is gone for a while and she hopes that it wasn't to her, because of her. Then he finally comes back and is acting unnaturally friendly, considering last weeks events.

This chapter caught me off guard, for some strange reason, i started reading the Twilight series, thinking it'd be one of those love at first sight kind of books. It seemed strange that he left. Though the first time he smiled at her i fainted... or went in to a coma [same thing ;)]. But then again, didn't we all? It was a bit weird though that he wanted to know all about her personal life. She barely knew him, but she spilled a lot of info about herself! He seemed perfectly okay, even surprised that she wasn't freaked out by him!

Mtv Twilight Tuesday!

Mtv posted their newest "Twilight Tuesday" bit today. It includes a video and they talk about the Cullen family crest, pictured on the left. The scene seems minor at the time. The cast and Producers said that they had Stephenie's approval for the scene. This is only the second Twilight Tuesday that Mtv has done. We'll keep you posted on more news as it comes!

Summary: Bella Swan moves to Forks to live with her Dad, Charlie. She misses Phoenix and she goes to her first day of school. She sees Edward Cullen and his family for the first time. When she's in biology, she realizes that he seems to be acting odd.

So, during this chapter i froze and thought to myself? "Okay Molly, don't freak out, there's about 300 more pages left. It'd be too depressing if he killed her now." But also, when she first saw him, even i was intrigued. She was in the cafeteria and i thought to myself, hhhmm... I wonder how hard this is for him. I just wanted to be able to sit there with her and stare at them!
